frequently asked

you have questions.

Answers to the most common things people ask before — and after — switching to Peach.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Peach Free is free forever on Chrome, Firefox, and Android — unlimited passwords, cards, notes, 2FA codes, smart autofill, breach monitoring, and strong password generation. iOS is on the way. Peach Pro adds Peach Sync, passkeys, and advanced vault health for a one-time $39 upgrade.

What happens if I lose my master password?

When you set up Peach, it generates a 12-word recovery sequence shown to you once. Write it down and store it somewhere safe — if you forget your master passphrase, those 12 words let you restore your vault on any device running Peach. There is no recovery server involved; the sequence is generated on-device and never sent anywhere.

Can I use Peach on multiple devices?

Yes. One license covers all your devices. Peach Sync keeps them in step through a relay that never stores or accesses any vault or user data — use ours, point them at one you host yourself, or turn sync off. You can also restore any device manually using PeachScript or Peach Codex — a printable physical backup you can store in a safe.

How is my license delivered?

Your Ed25519 license key is generated after payment confirmation and delivered by email within 60 seconds. It validates locally without a server call. Keys can be re-sent from the purchase confirmation page using your order reference number.

Does Peach work offline?

Yes. Peach requires no network connection to unlock, browse, edit, or fill. The only optional network flows are Peach Sync through its relay and breach monitoring via a k-anonymity prefix check. Neither is required for normal use, and sync can be turned off outright.

How does Peach Sync find my other devices?

You pair each device once: one shows a code, the other scans it, and both confirm the same eight digits before any key is trusted. After that they meet through a relay at a rotating address derived from that pairing, and authenticate each other with Noise KK on every connection before a byte of vault data moves. A device that isn’t in your paired registry can’t connect, and one you revoke stops receiving changes.

What happens when Peach 4.0 ships?

You get it. Peach is a one-time purchase with lifetime updates — every version, every major release, forever. No upgrade fees, no version gating, no discounts to chase. Buy once and every future version of Peach is yours.

Can I export my data if I decide Peach isn't for me?

Yes. Peach exports your vault as a standard CSV that any password manager can import, as PeachScript for Peach restores, or as a Peach Codex — a printable document that lets you restore from paper with no device or account required. Your data is yours. There is no lock-in and no export fee.
