Android is ready for testing

We’ve released the Peach Android app as a beta. You can download it from the Install page. It is safe to install, but it is still early software, so expect a few bugs as we finish it.

If something goes wrong, open Settings → Feedback in Peach and send it straight to us. That is the best way to report a problem because it gives us the details we need while you still have the issue in front of you.

You may also see Android ask you to scan the app because it is unverified. That warning is expected for a sideloaded app that is not in the official Play Store yet. It is about the installation channel, not a sign that Peach is unsafe.

Make a backup first

Before you try the beta, make a backup of your Vault with Peach Codex or export a .peach backup. Keep the backup and its password somewhere safe. It gives you a clean way back if you need to restore while testing.

A relay that only passes encrypted bytes

Android beta also brings Peach-Relay into the picture for Peach Sync. The relay is a small, auditable pipe between your devices. Your devices encrypt the data before it leaves them; the relay does not decrypt, read, or store it.

Absolutely zero of your Vault data or customer data is stored on Peach-Relay. It only passes the encrypted connection along. You can read the relay source or host your own if you want to inspect and control that part of the connection yourself.
